Stage 1 – Briefing your design agency
A clear, accurate brief is vital for your agency so you need to find out what will appeal to your market, how your brand is perceived and how to convey the advantages of your product. This early stage work, often conducted qualitatively, will help shape the brief, ensuring you’re heading in the right direction from the start
Stage 2 – Early stage design testing
We often use comparative approaches to understand what is and isn’t working across the alternative design routes, with techniques such as Hotspots allowing us to provide focused optimisation feedback. It's quick, effective and won't shred your budget
Stage 3 – Finding the best design
At this stage it’s all about depth. We often run 2 cells of research (new pack vs. existing, or your pack versus a likely competitor) and assess the packaging on measures including Shelf Standout, Flash Testing, image delivery, fit to brand and the like.
